WHY TYB
Gear Built Around the Mission
Whether that mission takes place in a demanding operational environment or on a walk through the neighborhood, the equipment you depend on should never be the weak point.
Dependability Is Not Optional
For working K9 teams, equipment failure can compromise more than convenience. It can interrupt the mission, place unnecessary stress on the handler, and create risks that should never exist.
A lead should not need to be replaced every season. A piece of gear should not fail when it is finally pushed beyond normal conditions. The products you depend on should be designed correctly, built from proven materials, and made to perform for years—not simply survive until the warranty expires.
That belief is what led us to create The Young Brand.
Built for Professionals. Made for Everyone.
Our gear is developed with the needs of military, law-enforcement, first-responder, and working K9 communities in mind. These users operate in environments where durability, simplicity, and reliability matter.
The same lead trusted during demanding K9 work should perform flawlessly during daily walks. The same materials selected for operational gear should serve the civilian who values craftsmanship and refuses to settle for disposable products.
We build for the most demanding users so everyone can depend on the result.
Leather, Nylon and Proven Materials
For our leather leads and leashes, Hermann Oak® is the standard. For collars, belts, and future leather products, we select premium leather from proven tanneries based on the job the product needs to do.
TYB is building a complete line of purpose-driven leather and nylon equipment designed around real-world use. From Hermann Oak® full-grain leather leads and everyday carry goods to nylon K9 equipment and tactical gear, every product begins with the same questions:
Does it solve a real problem?
Will it perform when it matters?
Can we build it better?
We choose materials for their performance—not because they are inexpensive or easy to market. Full-grain leather from proven tanneries, solid brass hardware, performance-grade nylon, reinforced stitching, and purpose-built components are selected to create equipment worthy of the people who depend on it.
No Unnecessary Complication
The best equipment does not need gimmicks.
It needs intelligent design, dependable materials, strong construction, and a clear purpose. Every feature should improve performance. Every component should earn its place. Every product should be intuitive to use and capable of enduring the conditions for which it was built.
We believe simplicity, when executed correctly, is a form of strength.
Built to Be Used
Our products are not designed to sit on a shelf or remain untouched.
They are built to develop character, show wear, and become part of the user’s daily life. Scratches, weather, long shifts, hard training sessions, and years of use should tell the story of dependable equipment—not signal the end of it.
We are not interested in creating more disposable gear.
We are building the gear you keep.
Our Mission
Create the best gear possible to support the end user’s mission.
That mission may involve serving a community, handling a working dog, operating in a demanding environment, or simply taking care of the responsibilities waiting at home.
